Romantic, feminine and whimsical wedding dresses. Designed for the wildly romantic bride with a nod to history and a focus on fashion. Gowns are designed and made in our serene studio in downtown Toronto.

Romantic, feminine, timeless.

What inspired you to start your business?

Seeing a lack of wedding dresses made with integrity and good design that express an individual brides style, I combined a love of couture gowns and an obsession with the history of fashion. My gowns are always feminine and timeless with a hint of whimsy, whether they are modern contemporary looks or full on fairy tale ball gowns.

What would you consider the most unique aspect about your brand?

Color! I have always loved wedding dresses with color, a hint or full on saturated color. My latest blog post explains my infatuation with color. Read all about it here: Colorful Wedding Dress

I am the designer, cutter, fitter and sweeper! Add a bit of sewing and the finishing press, along with social media and office staff… My right hand woman Tierre (a hat designer extraordinaire) is my finisher and main sewer. There are intern helpers who come and go and once this quiet time in the world ends I am looking for two more permanent helpers.

Spill the details about your design process?

The inspiration of a collection starts with a story. For example the new NorthStar Collection is inspired by women who followed their own star. Each gown is named after a groundbreaking Canadian woman, for example the sequin tulle “Celine” (Dion). I order fabrics based on the mood – this collection has sparkle, simplicity and a contemporary look but the gowns reflect the muse. A custom bride will show me inspo photos from a mix of sources (my gowns, fashion, red carpet, bridal) and we’ll work together to choose fabrics and silhouettes that evoke her personality while creating her ideal wedding dress.

How and where are your collections produced?

All my wedding dresses are designed and created in my serene, airy, light filled studio in downtown Toronto, Canada.

What is your best seller to date?

Jasmine from Morning Sky. It’s whimsical and romantic yet timeless and flattering. I think it strikes a chord for a lot of brides. Even if they don’t want the entire dress, I’ve designed many custom gowns that have a little hint of the Jasmine.

What is the inspiration behind your newest collection?

The collection I am currently working on is called “LoveBlooms”. Inspired by the hopeful rebirth of the garden, it is a collection full of optimism and joy. Colorful dresses linked not by style but only thru color. There are dresses that are romantic, whimsical, modern, trendy, historical…all styles but they all have or are color.

What kind of materials should we expect to see in this new collection?

Tulle, chiffon, printed organza and satin.

What do you love most about what you do?

The anticipation of how the design will play out and the creative process, with a bride or on my own, that becomes the finished dress.

What is your favorite memory/experience you’ve had involving your brand?

My favorite thing is meeting all the brides I’ve ever worked with and learning about them as people. I love my brides and have met so many ladies with all kinds of life experiences and ages, abilities, nationalities. It’s a unique window into peoples lives.

What is something you wish you knew when you started your line?
